Prevention is better than cure

In accordance with this principle, we offer services in the area of broadly understood prevention as well as professional oral hygiene. Our certified oral hygienists, thanks to their knowledge and experience, help to prevent the development of tooth decay, prevent gum and periodontal diseases and ensure remarkable aesthetic effects. Moreover, they provide professional oral hygiene instruction, educate patients on how to properly brush their teeth and clean interproximal spaces, and select accessories necessary for home oral hygiene.
We invite you to a professional teeth cleaning using procedures such as:

  • Scaling - removal of hard dental and subgingival deposits commonly known as tartar, with an ultrasonic scaler.
  • Teeth sandblasting - removal of dental plaque, discolouration and stains (e.g. coffee, cigarettes) using a specialised device under pressure.
  • Polishing and fluoridation - smoothing the surface of teeth, thus preventing secondary deposits of tartar and plaque, and strengthening and protecting the enamel against tooth decay with professional preparations with fluoride.

Comprehensive oral hygiene on its own can lighten teeth to a great extent, but if the effect would be insufficient our oral hygienists offer a professional teeth whitening treatment.

Regular visits to the oral hygienist protect against bone atrophy, receding gums, exposed tooth necks and, above all, significantly reduce the risk of periodontitis and teeth loss.

Implantology

Dental implants are the most effective and healthiest solution for missing teeth, they can restore the aesthetics of your smile and the functionality of your teeth.

In our clinic we use the most advanced and modern technology, we successfully apply dental implant systems which have been developed by the leading implant manufacturers in the world.

Each procedure is carried out by an implantologist with many years of experience. A dental implant is a titanium screw that is implanted into the bone to replace the root of a tooth. Thanks to its biocompatibility with our organism, this material is easily assimilated and fuses with the bone. An abutment or a connector is attached to such a screw and a prosthetic crown is fitted onto it, which perfectly reproduces a natural tooth in terms of functionality and appearance.

One of the modern and extremely useful tools in implant dentistry procedures is the surgical template . It allows our specialists to plan the optimal placement of the implant with an accuracy down to one millimetre and to maximise the use of the patients existing bone structure.

Endodontic therapy

Endodontics or root canal treatment is a rapidly developing field of dentistry, consisting of pulling out infected neurovascular tissue and filling the empty root canals with a sealant. It is often the only way to avoid tooth extraction.

At our Dental Care Centre we use innovative methods to eliminate pain and significantly reduce treatment time. Our specialists work under a microscope, which is particularly useful in difficult cases. This extremely precise method guarantees much better results than the traditional root canal treatment procedures.

Conservative dentistry

Conservative treatment in our clinic is always preceded by a thorough diagnostic process, tailored to the individual needs of the patient and an assessment of the condition of the teeth and cavities that have developed. All treatments are performed using advanced and approved dental materials of the highest quality.

Our offer consists of a comprehensive dental treatment for the entire family, including Your youngest children. The natural properties of teeth, preserved as long as possible through appropriate treatment, are the best barrier against oral cavity diseases, including tooth decay. Therefore, our priority is always to protect and maintain the natural dentition of our patients.

Prosthodontics

In our dental surgeries we offer a full range of prosthetic treatment including restoration of missing natural dentition, such as crowns, prosthetic bridges and dentures of various types, as well as enhancement of smile aesthetics by means of dental inlays, ceramic veneers and porcelain veneers.

We collaborate with the best prosthetic laboratories in Gdańsk and Pruszcz Gdański. All dental prosthetics for our patients are made of certified materials of the highest quality.

We invite you to the Dental Care Centre for a consultation with our specialists who will advise you and provide you with the best possible treatment option for you, ensuring both functional and aesthetic results.

Orthodontics

Dental Care Centre offers prevention and treatment of even the most advanced malocclusions regardless of age. The full range of radiological diagnostic services available in our clinic allows the specialists to plan a professional orthodontic therapy and indicate which solution will be optimal in a given case, as well as tailored to the individual needs of the patient.

In our orthodontic surgery we provide:

  • Fixed braces - designed for children and adults with permanent teeth. They are made up of arch wires and brackets, attached to the teeth for the duration of treatment. The patient can choose classic metal brackets or aesthetic ceramic ones (less visible). The advantage of fixed braces is that they exert precise pressure continuously throughout the treatment period and do not depend on the patients cooperation as in the case of removable braces.
  • Removable braces - Used in the treatment of children and adolescents during the period of deciduous, mixed and early permanent dentition. They provide effective treatment of jaw structure defects and eliminate abnormalities of the muscles surrounding the oral cavity as a result of harmful habits. This type of braces does not affect the position of the teeth. The patient inserts them on their own, usually overnight and for a few hours during the day.

Crowded, crooked teeth are not only an aesthetic problem. Correcting the alignment of teeth has a huge impact on maintaining good oral hygiene and thus preventing tooth decay and periodontal disease, improving pronunciation, delaying the effects of facial ageing and improving the quality of chewing and of life in general.

Surgical treatment

At the Grunwaldzka Dental Care Centre we offer the full range of oral and maxillofacial surgery services. These services range from preparatory procedures for implant, orthodontic and prosthetic treatment, through the removal of wisdom teeth to simple extractions ( tooth removal). Our many years of experience and ongoing training enable us to select the appropriate treatment method. Each treatment option is determined by the individual case, and following the appropriate diagnostic procedure, we will recommend the most beneficial solution for the patient.

OUR OFFER INCLUDES:

  • Lingual and labial frenectomy
  • Sinus lift
  • tooth extractions (including wisdom teeth)
  • bone augumentation (Guided Bone Regeneration GBR)
  • OAF closure (pathological communication between oral cavity and maxillary sinus)
  • procedures supporting the treatment of malocclusion
  • root resection - used when root canal treatment did not bring the expected result
  • removal of impacted teeth - remaining in the bone for a variety of reasons, accompanied by an indication for removal
  • Implant placement and procedures preparing the patient for the treatment.

Periodontics

Our clinic offers you services in the narrow speciality of dentistry - periodontology. It deals with the treatment of periodontal and gum diseases. This is a particularly important area in dentistry, as periodontitis is one of the main causes of tooth loss.

Periodontitis is a chronic disease, often with a genetic component, but diabetes, severe stress or smoking also have an impact on its development. The treatment of this disease is a process consisting of several phases:

  • oral hygiene therapy phase
  • surgical treatment phase
  • Maintenance phase

This comprehensive approach ensures that our patients can enjoy their own teeth.

Teeth whitening

Teeth whitening is one of the most popular treatments to improve the appearance of teeth. A sparkling white smile is no longer just an attribute of public figures but a longing shared by practically every single one of us. Our oral hygienists will offer you an individually tailored teeth whitening method depending on your needs:

Teeth whitening: laser treatment

A method that delivers results with just one single appointment.

Our Dental Care Centre owns the Solase diode laser, which uses the worlds first full-mouth whitening handpiece that reduces the irradiation, as it covers both dental arches simultaneously. This design reduces whitening time by ¼ compared to a conventional handpiece, making the treatment much safer, more comfortable and effective.

Overlay teeth whitening

Designed for patients who prefer to stagger such treatment over time and perform it at home. The oral hygienist gives the patient custom made whitening overlays together with the formulations intended for this purpose and detailed instructions for home use. The whitening trays together with the whitening gel are worn by the patient at home for several hours a day or at night. The final effect produced by this method can be seen after 7 to 14 days from the first day of applying the whitening trays.

Radiological diagnostics

X-ray diagnostics is an indispensable part of dental treatment. Examinations using ionising radiation make it possible to diagnose pathological changes that are inaccessible to the eye during clinical examination, are essential for planning the treatment and enable the ongoing monitoring of the treatment procedures. Today, digital radiography has replaced traditional film based x-rays, allowing real time examination results to be obtained on a computer screen and reducing exposure to ionising radiation and therefore the radiation dose absorbed by the patient.

Our Radiological Diagnostics Laboratory is equipped with a state-of-the-art digital imaging system - Carestream Dental CS 8100 3D Family, for taking pantomographic, cephalometric and 3D CT images. This system provides image processing capabilities - including image magnification, positive-negative selection, filtering, linear measurement or optical density.

Moreover, each dental surgery in the Dental Care Centre is equipped with a digital camera for intraoral radiographs, which are an essential element of root canal treatment and also allow to assess the effectiveness of the filling material, as well as to detect secondary tooth decay, which develops under the filling without showing any clinical damage to the tooth.
